Dumpster rental prices in Duval County are $299 for a 10-yard, $349 for a 15-yard, and $399 for a 20-yard. Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau counties are $409 and $459 for the 15 and 20-yard, and St. Augustine is $449 and $499. Each price includes delivery, pickup, disposal, and 1 to 2 tons.

Dumpster rental prices from 904 Dumpster start at $299 for a 10-yard, $349 for a 15-yard, and $399 for a 20-yard in Duval County, and they rise by county because of delivery distance from our Jacksonville yard. This guide answers how much a dumpster rental costs by lining up every county price side by side, converts each one to a cost per cubic yard and per included ton, and works through two full examples. Why Do Dumpster Rental Prices Differ by County?

Dumpster rental prices differ by county because the truck drives farther from the Jacksonville yard to reach Clay, St. Johns, Nassau, and St. Augustine addresses. The company's price list charges $60 more for a 15-yard and 20-yard in Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau, and $100 more in St. Augustine. The container, tonnage, and rental period are the same.

The Duval County rate is the base for dumpster rental prices across the region. In Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau counties, the 15-yard moves from $349 to $409 and the 20-yard from $399 to $459. Inside the City of St. Augustine, the 15-yard is $449 and the 20-yard is $499. For Clay County details, see our Clay County franchise hauler article.

Dumpster Rental Price Per Cubic Yard by Size and County

Dumpster rental price per cubic yard is the flat price divided by the container's volume, and it shows that bigger containers cost less per yard. In Duval County it falls from $29.90 for a 10-yard to $23.27 for a 15-yard and $19.95 for a 20-yard. The 20-yard is the cheapest per yard in every county.

Area10-Yard15-Yard20-Yard
Duval County$29.90$23.27$19.95
Clay, St. Johns, NassauNot offered$27.27$22.95
City of St. AugustineNot offered$29.93$24.95

Per-yard cost is a volume measure only, so compare dumpster rental prices by weight as well. If your debris is heavy, the weight allowance matters more, which is why the next table converts each price to a cost per included ton.

Price Per Included Ton by County

Price per included ton is the flat price divided by the tons covered, and it is the better comparison for dense debris such as concrete, brick, or roofing. In Duval County it is $299.00 for the 10-yard, $232.67 for the 15-yard, and $199.50 for the 20-yard. Outside Duval, the same math gives higher figures.

Area10-Yard15-Yard20-Yard
Duval County$299.00$232.67$199.50
Clay, St. Johns, NassauNot offered$272.67$229.50
City of St. AugustineNot offered$299.33$249.50

Included tons are 1 for the 10-yard, 1.5 for the 15-yard, and 2 for the 20-yard. This is not a per-ton billing rate. Weight under the allowance is covered by the flat price, and only weight above it is billed per ton. Dense debris reaches the allowance first.

What the Flat Rate Includes and What It Excludes

On the price sheet, dumpster rental prices include delivery, pickup, disposal at Trail Ridge Landfill, the stated rental period, and the included tons. It does not include extra days, extra weight beyond the allowance, or a street permit if the container goes on public property. 904 Dumpster adds no fuel or environmental fees.

ItemIncluded in the Flat Rate?
Delivery and pickupYes
Disposal at Trail Ridge LandfillYes, up to included tons
Rental period (3 or 5 days)Yes
Fuel or environmental feeNone charged
Extra day$15 per day
Extra ton in Duval County$75 per ton
Extra ton in Clay, St. Johns, Nassau, St. Augustine$100 per ton
Street placement permitSeparate, from the city or county

A container on a private driveway needs no permit. Street placement does. If you are unsure which applies, call (904) 240-5598.

Two Worked Examples With Overage and Extension Math

Two examples show how final dumpster rental prices are built from the flat rate, extra days, and extra tons. Both assume whole tons. Call (904) 240-5598 to confirm how a partial ton is billed.

Example 1: Duval County, 15-yard, kitchen remodel. The flat rate is $349 for 5 days and 1.5 tons. The container stays 8 days, which adds 3 extra days at $15, or $45. The debris weighs 2.5 tons, which is 1 ton over the allowance, or $75. Total: $349 + $45 + $75 = $469.

Example 2: Clay County, 20-yard, roof and deck tear-off. The flat rate is $459 for 5 days and 2 tons. The container stays 7 days, which adds 2 extra days at $15, or $30. The debris weighs 3 tons, which is 1 ton over the allowance, or $100. Total: $459 + $30 + $100 = $589.

The same Example 2 job in Duval County would run $399 + $30 + $75 = $504, which is $85 less. The gap is the county difference ($60) plus the higher outer-county overage rate ($25). For longer projects, compare daily extensions with a swap plan before you book.

When Sizing Up Costs Less Than a Second Delivery

Sizing up is cheaper than a second delivery, and the smarter way to manage dumpster rental prices, when the extra volume you need is more than a few cubic yards. In Duval County, moving from a 10-yard to a 15-yard costs $50 and adds 5 cubic yards and 0.5 ton. Moving from a 15-yard to a 20-yard also costs $50 and adds 5 cubic yards and 0.5 ton.

A second delivery repeats the full flat rate. A second 10-yard in Duval County is $299, so a $50 size-up saves $249 if the first container would have run out of room. A second 15-yard is $349, so the $50 step to the 20-yard saves $299. The 15-yard to 20-yard step is also $50 in Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau counties and in St. Augustine.

Before you book, get a quote on the pricing page for your address. Size-ups handle volume and do not fix a weight problem. If the debris is dense, ask us about the right size before ordering. The 20-yard dumpster page lists dimensions: 14 by 7.5 by 5.8 feet, versus 14 by 7.5 by 4.5 feet for the 15-yard.

Is a 30-Yard Dumpster Available?

No. 904 Dumpster does not offer 30-yard or larger containers. For a job that needs more than 20 cubic yards, the alternative is a 20-yard with a swap: the truck takes the full container and leaves an empty one. In Duval County, two 20-yard rentals total $798 for 40 cubic yards and 4 included tons. See the 30-yard dumpster guide for the comparison.
